Whether it’s a first date or date night with your significant other – keep reading to find out more.
1. Picnic on the Great Orme
The Great Orme is a mighty limestone headland that juts out of Llandudno’s Creuddyn peninsula into the Irish sea. It is named ‘Orme’ for the old Norse for ‘sea-serpent’ by the Vikings as they would sail past the coastline. Despite this, this headland is completely covered in grass and shrub, and such is a fantastic location for taking a walk. You can stroll hand in hand up the Orme, with a wicker basket full of delicious food.
2. Meal for two at Snooze
There are many great restaurants and cafes in North Wales, not least of all Llandudno, a picturesque seaside resort on the shores of the north coast. This town has many fantastic places to eat, or even just grab a drink. Some of our favourites include Snooze, which serves top-notch cuisine and has that restaurant ambience that is ideal for an intimate date with someone special. If you fancy something more casual, then we would recommend Johnny Dough’s Pizza, which serves all manner of toppings on a freshly baked base.
3. Hotel Break
Maybe you need to get away from it all? If you are coming from further afield then you will need somewhere to stay for the night. Why not stay at a luxury boutique hotel, of which there are several Llandudno hotels that will serve as the perfect venue for a romantic getaway for two. The Elm Tree Hotel in Llandudno is one of the best hotels in the area without a shadow of a doubt, and with a range of suites and rooms to choose from you have plenty of variety. Don’t miss out on their perfect breakfast.
4. Whisky Tour and Tasting
Do you have a penchant for whisky? Perhaps you simply want to learn how to appreciate this copper coloured elixir? Penderyn Whisky Distillery is centred in Llandudno and even uses the water from the Great Orme’s underground reservoir to make it. So the water comes fresh from the underwater spring of this ancient rock. The new distillery cost £5million to build, and is a great location to visit with that special someone – there is a tour for two offers for those attending before 31st of March! So be quick!
5. A stroll along the pier with an ice cream
Llandudno pier is the longest in all of Wales! Why not get yourself your favourite flavour of ice cream and take a stroll hand in hand along this magnificent Victorian pier. You shall be treated to amazing, panoramic views in just about every direction – with views towards the beach, gleaming ivory seafront, and mountains beyond, or look out to sea with vast leagues of azure blue ocean to marvel at. It’s enough to make anyone’s heart sing.
